Honda Passport?

Americans buy an average of 17 million new cars and trucks each year. With numbers like these, it is no wonder you see more and more new models of cars on the roads during your commute.

If you find yourself among these 17 million Americans, buying a car can be a big, stressful decision. With so many models to choose from, narrowing down the selection can be tough.

Our money is on the Honda Passport. In this article, we explore why the Passport is one of the best 2-row SUVs on the market, and why you should consider this SUV as your next vehicle.

The Scoop on the Passport

You've probably seen a variety of different Honda vehicles on the road during your travels. Honda's reputation for making reliable, tough vehicles is evident in the number of consumers that own a Honda.

If you are used to driving 2-row SUVs, the Honda Passport makes a compelling argument as the best 2-row SUV for several reasons.

First, let's look at some of the Passport's standard features.

In this day and age, you won't get far without your phone. The Passport has added Apple Carplay and Android Auto integrations to its list of standard features with its 2021 models. This makes it incredibly easy to connect your phone to your car.

And with your phone connected, it's simple to pull up driving directions, or text to talk. This allows you to enjoy the convenience that your phone offers without sacrificing safety.

A new Passport also includes some outstanding smart features. The Intelligent Traction Management system keeps your vehicle on the road, no matter the conditions. Sand and snow are no match for the Passport, as it automatically adjusts to handle these conditions.

Honda Sensing keeps you and your passengers safe by tracking speed and potential obstacles, such as pedestrians or abrupt stops in front of you. This sensing technology is like having a backup driver behind the wheel at all times. It can be especially reassuring if you have a new driver in the family, as well.

With four different Passport models to choose from, finding the perfect 2-row SUV is a breeze.

The Passport Sport is the smallest of the Passport family, starting at about $33,000. Available in a variety of colors, rich black interior pairs perfectly no matter what hue you choose.

The EX-L offers an even roomier experience, with leather-trimmed seating and a one-touch moonroof, among the Passport's other standard features.

The Touring has a built-in navigation system and a next-level audio system for all your road trip playlists.

The Elite is the ultimate Passport experience, with heated seats and a heated steering wheel, as well as rain-sensing wipers and a wireless phone charger.

The Passport vs. Others: Which Is the Best 2-Row SUV?

As with all things in modern America, you have plenty of choices. We love the Passport, but with the types of SUVs, on the market, it's only fair to compare the Passport to other vehicles.

We compare the Honda Passport to three other SUVs on the market today, to find out which is truly the best 2-row SUV.

Ford Edge

The Ford Edge is touted as a performance vehicle that doesn't sacrifice style and function. With a sleek exterior available in a range of eye-catching colors, the Edge is stylish and sophisticated.

The vehicle features an abundance of safety features, such as Ford's CoPilot-360 technology and blind-spot tracking. The Edge also features SYNC 3 AppLink, allowing individuals to sync Alexa with their car.

However, the SYNC 3 AppLink is not as seamless as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It requires the download of the Ford + Alexa app and then syncing with SYNC 3 AppLink. The Edge also does not have a traction system.

Nissan Murano

The Nissan Murano has a similar selection of features as the Passport. A phone can be connected through Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Nissan's built-in GPS is available as well.

All-Wheel Drive is available for better handling, and paired with smart technology, the Murano knows when to kick into high gear and when to moderate power. However, All-Wheel Drive is not a standard feature in the Murano line, which can be a serious deterrent.

In comparison to the Passport, with its front and rear AC, the Murano's backseat passengers are only subject to directional vents on the back of the center console.

Hyundai Santa Fe

The Hyundai Santa Fe is built for the family that travels. With a roomy interior and a rugged grille, the Santa Fe has plenty of room for your family and all your accessories. For the weekend getaway or the week-long camping trip, the Santa Fe is the ultimate ride.

The standard Santa Fe has 18 in wheels, smaller than any of the other vehicles. The connectivity options are limited, so if you're eager to connect your smartphone, you won't be doing it in a Santa Fe.

The standard Santa Fe starts at about $27,000, which is the lowest price of all the vehicles. However, the standard does not come with comparable features. Its additional safety features are especially limited, which can be a deterrent to a family.

The Santa Fe is not the sleekest-appearing vehicle in our lineup. If appearances are important to you, the Passport is a much sleeker and stylish choice than the aggressive look of the Santa Fe.

We Love the Passport

For value, style, and features, the best 2-row SUV is certainly the Honda Passport. Starting at $33,000, the Passport features a wide selection of specs, safety features, and modern connectivity. The value of the Passport is unparalleled.

The ease of connectivity gives a Passport driver modern features at their fingertips. With amped-up safety features, the Passport puts the benefits of another driver at the wheel.
